MAKING OF DOUGHNUT

           DOUGHNUT  is a deep fried rich snacks all the way from Europe, And now travelled to many countries even in Nigeria here. Doughnut has different types of shapes like twisted, full shaped, ring, balls, and so on like that,The two popular shape in Nigeria here is the ring and full shaped doughnut. 
            Most people see the full shaped donut as the classy and most rich in taste, that's not true, because both are made with same ingredients.There are also two methods in making donuts. Which are ;

BAKING METHOD: Every ingredients are used except the yeast, you replace the yeast for baking powder to make a baked doughnut.
DEEP FRY METHOD: Every ingredients are used except baking powder, baking powder is replaced with yeast.
       DOUGHNUT can also be eaten with different types of TOPPINGS like; Icing sugar,granulated sugar,chocolate,cream,sprinkles, chocolates and so on. Now let get to list the ingredient in making or preparing our sweet,rich snack (DOUGHNUT)


Ingredients:
- 4cups of flour
-1cup of granulated sugar
-4 teaspoon of yeast
-1/2 tbspoon of salt
-2 Eggs (beaten/whisked)
-1 1/2 tin milk
-tbspn of butter(melted)
- 3/4 cup of water
-oil for frying


DIRECTION
- Prepare 2 bowls and a smaller bowl aside.
-pour your 4cups of flour in the 1st bowl with you yeast and salt ,mix together and set aside.
-For your second bowl, pour your tin milk, and sugar, water and stir.
-For the smaller bowl, break your egg in it and whisk(make sure not to allow the egg shell break in it)
-bring forth the first bowl,(Make a well inside  the bowl of your powdered mixed flour) take your mixed milk and pour in it.
-Add your whisked egg, and also make sure to melt your butter and also add in the bowl.
-stir them all together, until they are all combined and well mixed up that you can no longer see powder flour
-Continue to knead(with your fist/hand)your dough until the bowl is clean and no longer sticky. It should look like a  ball or turned fufu.knead well with hand to make good dough.
-Take out your dough from the  bowl and rub the bowl with oil and put the ball dough in the bowl, also rub the surfaces of the dough with oil.
- Cover the bowl,make sure its non air-accesible.Leave for 30-40mins  to rise.
-After 40mins, take it out and open. See that the dough has doubled in size.
-Get you cutting board,dust some flour on it, then place your dough in it.
-roll your dough with rolling pin and make sure to press it down, make it look like a double size cookies, while rolling
-Now cut them into your doughnut shapes , cut in any size or amount you want
-After your doughnut shapes are cut out 
-Cover them and allow to rise for another 30minsa.
-Bring out,if risen then set your oil in a WOK or DEEP POT on medium heat(make sure to test the oil temperature with the dough holes you picked out.
-Fry 1 or 2 at a time(fry by turning both sides)
-Drain with kitchen tissue and serve.


N:B
× Use Luke warm water.
×You can also replace tin milk with powdered milk, just mix with water to make a liquid milk
×If you don't have donut cutter you can use a metal cup or metal cover, with a very good size.then a plastic bottle cover to make the holes.
×keep the dough holes removed for the donut shapes so as to use to test the temperature of the oil,before frying you main doughnut.
