HOW TO MAKE BUSHMAN RICE
On today's recipe, I would love to share with you how to prepare Bushman rice. Students mostly love to prepare this food and its commonly called CONCORTION, But I would love to give the complete recipe on how to make a bushman rice aka CONCORTION. Aside all ingredients, the smoked/dried fish gives an extra taste or flavour while cooking this food.
INGREDIENTS:
-6 cups of rice
-Carrot, green beans
-Onions
-Groundnut oil
-ponmo
-Seasoning cubes
-Smoked/dried fish
-pepper and tomato
-grinded crayfish
-prawn or shrimps
-Locust beans
-Spinach/kale leaf
-Salt to taste.
PREPARATIONS:
-blend your pepper and tomato(Not to smooth)
-Slice your Onions,ponmo and smoked fish
-Preheat your groundnut oil until its hot,add the sliced onions and stir fry
-Add locust beans and fry together with onions
-Add your blended pepper, stir as well,then pour your grinded crayfish,shrimps, smoked fish and diced ponmo
-Add seasoning and salt to taste
-After frying to satisfaction,pour water and leave it for some minutes to boil
-Add your rice and leave to cook
-while cooking,dice your carrot and set aside
-Check rice if done, add your spinach/kale leaf and carrot and stir with wooden turner(stick/spoon)then leave to shimmer for 2-3mins
-Finally food is ready
NOTES:
-Any kind of dried fish can be used in making this bushman rice.
-Always check on your cooking for adjustment
- lower heat to cook well
