HOW TO PREPARE CAMEROONIAN COCONUT RICE

       CAMEROONIAN COCONUT RICE

        Coconut rice taste differently and with the taste of coconut milk it makes it smell good and taste nice. The aroma alone would make your neighbours eager to beg for your food. There are numbers of coconut recipes i would love you to try and i would be posting on how to prepare them. We have;


1) Simple Coconut rice : which can be eaten with stew.

2)Coconut fried rice,Coconut juice,Coconut Cookies,Coconut cakes Anything nutty....


      This recipe is very easy to prepare,when preparing this type of food if you are serving just 2-3 people you have to be careful with your spices or seasoning in other not to over power your cooking and make it taste less like our wonder coconut rice. The following are the listed ingredients needed.


​INGREDIENTS:

- 6 cups of rice

-8 pieces beef(cooked)

-Brown coconut

-1/2 garlic clove

-1meduim size Onion

- 1/2 ginger

-seasoning cube( 2maggi)

​-salt to taste

-pepper(habanero)

-Diced carrot

-Green beans

-Green pepper

-Coconut milk(optional/substitute)​

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

-break the brown coconut gently and pour out the liquid inside the pot,add the sachet coconut milk as well.(but its optional if you don't want the (coconut milk sachet).

​-Boil coconut milk for about 10minutes,then add the cooked beef,cleaned shrimp(optional) and maggi cubes,then add the pepper,onions,salt,garlic and ginger.

-Parboil the rice and add to the boiling coconut milk,cook rice till soft for 40mins,reduce heat shimmer till the liquid is dried up.

-garnish with carrots,green pepper and green beans,(you can grate/dice little of the coconut on your food if you love to

​-finally,food is ready to serve HOT
